WHAT IS A MEMBER?
A member is family that has had a skater attend/ register on a session. (paid and had fees processed to Halifax Skating Club)
WHAT IS A WAIT LISTED SKATER?
A skater that was signed up on a wait list in a previous registration window (date stated on the brochure)
WHAT IS A NEW MEMBER?
Any family with an account that has not had a family member make it to ice for a session.
- All members must pay the $45 Skate Canada Membership fee yearly. (September 2022—August 2023) This include insurance for skaters and the club.
$20 per Family - SportSweep Fundraiser - Ticket Sales collected during Fall 2022 Registration.

Families registering before their allotted time will have their registrations removed from the system

If your skater does not get in on this registration period, we do run a SPRING session. April, May, June.
Registration will be in Mid March
Sportsweep is HSC's fundraiser in conjunction with Sport Nova Scotia.
The cost of tickets is collected with each HSC home club member registration.
Any money you earn from selling the tickets stays with you.
Funds raised for the club are used towards club activities (i.e. ice show), club equipment, keeping program costs down,
and/or other activities as the HSC Board of Directors deems a reasonable use of the funds.
STARskate Academy Program criteria -
|BRONZE SKATER QUALIFICATIONS||SILVER SKATER QUALIFICATIONS||GOLD SKATER QUALIFICATIONS|
|working on Star 1-3||Passed a minimum of 2 Star 3+ assessments||Passed a minimum of two Star 6+ assessments|
|and/or no Axel||Working on Star 4/6/Pre-Juvenile||Star 6+/Juvenile+|
|and/or working on Axel and low double jumps||Working on all doubles and triples|
|High Silver: Silver requirements and landing at least 1 double and/or working
on Star 7+ dance and/or skills
|High Gold: Gold requirements and landing at least 3 double and/or passed a minimum 1 GOLD test
How to purchase Drop in session for Academy Programs
- must be purchased by NOON the day before the session.
- Go to registration page and select the session you wish to purchase.
- select date of drop in (individual) session from the drop down menu and select the skater.
-complete the check out process
Club sessions are not Ticket ice Purchases.
All families registering will be required to have signed the HSC COVID -19 waiver.
All registrations will be hosted on the Halifax Skating Club Website.
Always Inform your base coach of your
intent to register for a program
If a skater is feeling unwell the MUST NOT ATTEND any session.
