
Off Ice spinner / Harness System Sign Up
This off-ice tool helps skaters safely develop rotation, air position, and body control, supporting their on-ice training.

Spinner & Harness Training – Spring 2026 Trial
We are introducing the spinner and harness system as a Spring 2026 trial program.
Session Times (Mondays):
4:30–5:30 PM and 6:00–7:30 PM
15-minute blocks – please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time and wait by the spinner area (far end of Rink C) for the coach to begin your session
Program Details
- No fee for Spring
- Harness sessions led by Certified Skate Canada Coach – Karen Scarcella
- Location: Rink C – Greenfoot
- Open to HSC & BSC registered Spring 2026 skaters
- STAR 2+ skaters (with base coach approval)
Note: STAR 1 skaters will be introduced to the spinner during Bronze off-ice sessions this spring.
How Sign-Up Works
- 15-minute sessions (2–3 skaters per group)
- Sign up using the SignUpGenius link below
- Please sign up by 12 noon the day before the session
Sessions are released 2 weeks at a time
- Week of April 12 is now open
- Additional weeks will be added after the first week
Important Guidelines
- Please check in with your coaching team before signing up and ensure they are aware of your skater’s scheduled time
- 4:30–5:30 PM: Reserved for Silver/Gold skaters
- 6:00–7:30 PM: Reserved for Gold/Bronze skaters
- Do not book during a time your skater is scheduled on the ice
- Limit of 1 session per skater, per Monday (to allow fair access)
Looking Ahead
We plan to expand this into:
- Summer training opportunities
- Additional off-ice spinner (No Harness) sessions for Bronze-level skaters throughout the spring
- Club Coaches may also use the Spinner / Harness system during booked Rink C sessions at Greenfoot.
Please notify HSC Admin in advance so the spinner can be brought to the arena.
