HSC Annual Awards Banquet

The Halifax Figure Skating Club’s Annual Awards Banquet is a special evening dedicated to celebrating the hard work, growth, and achievements of our skaters throughout the season. From our youngest CanSkaters to our competitive athletes, this event recognizes dedication, sportsmanship, and team spirit both on and off the ice. It’s also a time to thank our coaches, volunteers, and families for their unwavering support.

Keegan Messing is Crashing Our Banquet!

We’re thrilled to welcome Keegan Messing to this year’s Halifax Skating Club Annual Awards Banquet!

Known for his explosive energy, incredible jumps, and unforgettable charisma on the ice, Keegan is a two-time Canadian National Champion, Olympian, and fan favourite around the world. Now, he’s bringing that same spirit to our celebration night!

Keegan will be joining us to share stories from his skating journey, celebrate our club’s achievements, and meet the amazing skaters, families, and volunteers that make HSC so special. Don’t miss your chance to snap a photo, grab an autograph, and say hello to one of the most entertaining skaters in the sport!

Tickets are only available until May 25th (or when tickets sell out!)

 

Cost: $20.00 per HSC Skater and $20.00 for the first guest/parent/guardian. 

Skaters 13 and under must attend with a parent/guardian. 

Additional guests may purchase tickets for $45.00 each.

A limit of one Guest/Parent/Guardian ticket at a reduced rate, with each skater ticket purchased




 

Each Additional Guest Ticket $45.00 each

Additional guest tickets may be purchased for $45.00 each



Each person in attendance MUST have a ticket. No exceptions

ALL Tickets must be presented at check in the day of the event. 

In order to comply with fire code regulations and ensure accurate dinner preparations, all skaters and guests (including parents and siblings) must present a ticket for entry to the event.

Who is invited to attend the banquet?

All Halifax Skating Club members and their families are welcome to attend! This includes CanSkate, Jr. Academy, and Academy skaters, as well as our Volunteers and Officials.

 

Do I need to purchase a ticket to attend?

Yes, everyone planning on attending must purchase a ticket.  Please see the Purchase Your Tickets section above.

 

What is the Dress Code?

Dress is semi-casual or banquet best - think polished but comfortable. 

 

Will food be served?

Yes, a buffet style dinner and dessert will be served.  Please let us know about any dietary restrictions by emailing halifaxskatingclubplanning@gmail.com.

 

Will skaters be receiving awards?

Yes! Skaters from all levels will be recognized, with announcements for special HSC Club and NS Section Awards.

 

Can I bring guests who aren't part of the club?

Yes, additional guests (like extended family or friends) are welcome - just make sure they have purchased a ticket.

 

What time should we arrive?

We will start letting people in at 5:30pm.  Dinner will be served at 6:00pm and our awards portion of the evening will begin around 6:45pm.
