Beginner CanSkate at the Halifax Skating Club
Beginner to Skate Canada Badge 3
- Develops fundamental skating skills such as forward and backward skating, stopping, turning, edges, crosscuts, posture, pushing, gliding.
- Group lesson format led by a NCCP Certified Professional coach and assisted by trained Program Assistants
- Skaters progress at their own rate with continuous movement through games, drills, circuits and daily assessment
- Skater must wear a helmet and mitts/gloves (no tapered bicycle helmets permitted)

CANSKATE is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program, designed for children 4-13 years. The program focuses on fun, participation, and basic skill development for figure skating, hockey, ringette, and speed skating.

Beginner CanSkate Sunday Sessions
Sunday 2:15-3:00 PM – 7 weeks
April 11, 18, 25* & May 2, 9*, 16, 22*
Cost
7 Weeks for $91.00
New members must pay additional Skate Canada fee of $31.00
*Sunday Schedule changes:
- April 25th lessons will be 1 hour later 3:15 – 4pm
- May 9th lessons will be held from 4:50 – 5:35pm
- Last week of lessons to be held on Saturday May 22nd, 2:15 – 3:00pm

Thursday 4:05 - 4:50 PM – 7 weeks
April 8, 15, 22, 29 & May 6, 13, 20

- Payment is by cheque or cash only; dated April 1st, 2010.
